Home Meetings 2007 NNL 2008 NNL Feedback Rennsport III

Eight ACME members attended Rennsport Reunion III and assisted in the first model car contest held in conjunction with a Rennsport event and form all indications it was a success. Over 100 model cars were entered in the 10 categories including a 1:1 scale Porsche 917 model. The club displayed two IROC dioramas: the 15 cars from the first race at Riverside and the final6 cars and the pace car on the banking at Daytona for the championship race.

The quality of the models on display was incredible and added significantly to the enjoyment of the thousand plus spectators who came in to see the models and purchase memorabilia from the vendors.

ACME thanks all of those enthusiasts who entered their models, to the spectators for your support and encouragement, and to Bob Carlson of Porsche Cars North America for supporting not only the model show but Rennsport Reunion III in general. The weekend was like walking through a time machine of Porsche's racing involvement everything from 356's to the LMP2 Spyder were on display covering all forms of racing: road racing, rally, and even Indy car.
